Electric buses costing 26 million birr have started providing services

The first electric public transport buses costing 26 million birr started operating in Addis Ababa.

The company stated that the 60 buses that started operating today were assembled by Belaineh Kende Group’s sister company, Velocity Express, in Galan and Debre Berhan.

It has been stated that the charging stations for the buses have been built in 30 different places of the city and they can be charged at home.

The busses depart from Bole and their destination is Stephanos Four Kilo – Six Kilo – Shiro Meda, the organization announced.

The company announced to Addis Walta Digital Media that the number of vehicles assembled by Belayneh Kende Group has reached more than 216 so far.
