Ethiopia and Koika signed a 16 million dollar aid agreement

Ethiopia and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) signed a 16 million US dollar grant agreement.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Finance, Sumerita Gramsue, and the Vice President of the Korea International Cooperation Agency, Dong-gu Kim.

The information of the Ministry also indicates that Koika will support the works on improving the quality and standard of agricultural production in Ethiopia to be implemented in the next five years.

It was also pointed out that 10 million US dollars has been allocated for the project on improving agricultural production.

In particular, it was stated that by increasing the country’s income from agricultural products exported, the sector will further increase its share in the country’s total production.

He noted that the project to prevent child stunting has been allocated six million US dollars and works to provide access to nutritious and safe food for children under the age of five, pregnant women and nursing mothers and their children.
